Burglars Using Media Sites

The fact that burglars are using media resources like Facebook and Twitter is a big wake up call for many people. I personally am not surprised, because it can be easy to find out if someone is on vacation or not. These websites are appealing to burglars because people often update their Facebook status saying, “Beach!” or “Finally gone.” Some Facebook users even use the check-in tool on Facebook. This tells people exactly where others are. Although it’s useful seeing where your friends are, it can be very dangerous. Facts show that around 78% of burglars are known to use these media sites. This should teach a very important lesson. It is ok to tell people that you went on vacation, but wait until you get back from your trip! Watch what you put on Facebook, and make sure you have privacy settings, because you never know who is watching you!

Using my RSS reader

Even though I was 4 years old, I still feel chills run down my spine as I remember September 11, 2001. That day, our world changed forever. We were reminded that evil is still out there. Unlike losing total control and America falling apart, we united and became stronger than ever. We were proud to be Americans and we would stand up for our country. As we reached the 10th year anniversary, we would reminded of the loved ones lost and we honor the men fighting for our freedoms in Afganistan. The terrorists did not tear us down. They made us a stronger nation as a whole. Today, New York City is thriving more than ever. It is still a central place for businesses, law firms, and organizations. Memorial sites have been created where the Twin Towers stood. This event has made us come together and realize how fortunate we are to live in the country of America. We will forever remember September 11,2001, but nothing will rip us apart.

The PC: Then and Now

To say the least, computers have changed immensely over the last 30 years. It's hard to comprehend the way technology has advanced during this time. The first PC computer was the IBM model 5150 invented in 1981 and held about 64kB of memory. The 11 inch screen showed text and images in one color, green. It costs around $3,005 dollars, 7,613 dollars today. Today's Lenovo ThinkCentre Edge 91z is about 1, 386 dollars and has a 21 inch screen. It shows everything in color and has built in speakers. The way IBM has advanced their computers has changed how everything works. Technology is now a necessity for all people and we are so fortunate to be able to use computers!
